Camping Trip//So Many Pictures

Hey friends,
Last weekend I went camping. It was super fun! I hiked the trail, dipped my feet in the lake, enjoyed geocaching, gathered around a campfire, and relaxed in a hammock. Here are some picture from our trip. If you don't know what geocaching is it is pretty much Pokemon Go in real life.

Did you all did anything fun last weekend? What's your favorite picture?

Guest Post By Beth

Here is a guest post by Beth!! Definitely go and follow her blog (if you are not already). A while back I did one on her blog! I hope you enjoy reading it. :)

Hi everyone,
Last week in my science class, I was learning about how a historical document has to pass some tests in order to be a reliable document.  Like that the document can't contradict itself, that it can't contradict other historical facts, and that the document must contain either direct eyewitness account or a second-hand report based on an eyewitness account.  Well some people say that you can't believe the Bible because it contradicts itself.  Let me give you an example... there are two genealogies of Christ-- one in Matthew 1 and one in Luke 3.  At first they seem to be contradictory since they don't even agree on Jesus's grandfather, but they are actually complementary!  That's because the genealogy presented in Matthew is Jesus's earthly father Joseph's family line and the passage in Luke is Mary's family line.  Both say Joseph but that's because women's names were not mentioned in genealogies in Jewish culture.  So once we realize the cultural situation, the supposed "contradiction" fades away!  In fact, the Bible passes all tests for an authentic historical work, and no other work has had so much archaeological evidence compared to it!  So while there are many ways to study human history, the best place to start is the Bible because it has been shown to be an incredibly reliable source of history!!

I try to read the Bible every day because it is my daily bread.  My favorite verse is Psalm 84:10b, "I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked."
